Trump departs for a chilly G7 meeting in Canada, weather will be warm | The disagreements range from economic (tariffs) to political (free speech, Internet censorship), and they are deep. Ukraine is also a point of contention. The stakes are clearly much higher than for the normal G7 get-together.

Never Trumper: I was wrong about Army parade, I actually enjoyed it | Only after endlessly calling Trump a dictator, once they shut up long enough to watch the parade, Trump haters realized it was actually about the Army's 250th anniversary.
Rand Paul condemns parade as 'glorifying weapons' | Rand Paul is far too rigid in his thinking. He can't see the benefit to recruiting in the parade.
Dumb argument: Dems, media point to Guard member escorting Padilla to briefing | The security officers had no idea if he was escorted there or not. He started shouting and interrupting the DHS secretary. Security doesn't know he was escorted there. If a member of the press started shouting during opening remarks, he or she would be removed too, even with a press pass. Bottom line, Padilla was the aggressor, plain and simple.

Protesters try to provoke police in LA, fail
No Kings organizers claim millions showed up . . . but nobody really cares | Another weekend, another massive leftist protest. Democrats fear the images from these things more than Republicans do. Images of protesters waving Mexican flags when the issue is illegal immigration threatens Dems far more than Trump. Doubt that? The NY Times and LA Times both wrote pieces trying to explain those flags away this past week. To penetrate the ideological social media bubbles everyone has carefully honed on their smartphones, you need violence. A sizable protest just doesn't penetrate. The Sen. Padilla stunt seemingly gave the left what they wanted, perceived violence by police against a man of Hispanic heritage. But that too will backfire. It was an obvious setup to distract from the Mexican flags. Stephen A. Smith proved how transparent that effort was. The media will drop it, try to ignore it, over the coming days. As for the protests, the police are very careful not to create the next viral legacy media protest clip. Unless protesters can get police to cross the line, the protests simply don't matter. That didn't happen. Queue the next 'historic' protest.

CNN is gaslighting you | This article states that anytime a cabinet official is in public, especially amid heightened political feeling, there are safety concerns. It points out that after recent assassination attempts, security acts first and asks questions later. The article acknowledges security didn't recognize Padilla. Then the article slams the White House for not admitting fault. Fault for what? The article slams the White House, not security, for shoving him out of the room because he was shouting his name, identifying himself, presumably enough to clear everything up. Didn't the writer just write that security acts first, asks question later, in these dangerous political times? WTF? Finally the article admits what's going on, the Democrats may have found an opening politically and they need to exploit it. Truth be damned. CNN yet again proves that it often just lurches into leftist propaganda. I remain confident that this stunt will cause a backlash against Democrats and the media.
Reuters/Ipsos issues pointless 'all adults' poll | Public approves of deportations according to the poll, but not the 'rounding up' illegals in LA approach. This poll is useless, however, for political analysis because it polls all adults. Many non-voters and illegals are included in this poll. Only polls of voters matter. An opinion that's never registered at the ballot carries no weight politically. The only possible point of this poll is to deceive the audience by pushing the false notion that the electorate supports Democrat immigration policy, but they don't.

Politico asks what's changed since Bush's parade | Politico gets it wrong. Democrats have changed. They are motivated primarily by hatred of Trump. Little else unites them. They can't step back and see that the parade dais is emblazoned with the Army logo. This is about the Army, which America will clearly see Saturday, but all Dems can see is Trump. Is Trump baiting them? Yes. That's one reason Dems hate him and why MAGA loves him.

Stephen A. Smith slams Sen. Padilla over 'out of control' behavior | Murkowski is clearly doing anything she can to hurt Trump. No honest Republican would buy into the dishonest media gestapo narrative. Only Padilla deserves criticism for this altercation. Secret Service and other security agents handled this perfectly.
Sen. Tim Kaine: Padilla incident 'one of the most outrageous things I've seen in 67 years on the planet' | This is a completely ridiculous statement.
LA Times bends over backwards trying to explain all the foreign flags | Here's the truth, many illegals don't value America, they value America's wealth. There's no desire to learn the language or assimilate on the part of many. People who don't respect the legal immigration process often don't respect the country. Rather, come here, work and send money home. Elect politicians who will help as many people as possible do the same. If the US gets destroyed in the process, who cares, you can always go back home.

9th Cir blocks judge's order to return control of National Guard to Newsom
Clinton Judge orders Trump to return Nat'l Guard control to Newsom, compares to king | Opinion | Judge Breyer compared Trump to King George, a nod to the No Kings protests this Saturday. Judge Breyer's ruling went beyond what California asked for, which was to limit the Guard to protecting federal buildings. He went much farther, ruling that all of Trump's actions on the National Guard were illegal. President Bush also called on the Guard, Marines and Army during the LA riots in 1991. No court challenged that action.
LA riots seal the Dems' leftward lurch on immigration | The Dems will not be able to moderate on this issue. If a candidate chooses to do so, he or she will be viciously attacked by the base. The base is dug in on this issue and that's terrible for Democrats.
Padilla episode triggers five-alarm fire for Democrats
The facts show Padilla was the aggressor | Facts: He approached Noem during prepared remarks, not question time, interrupting her. He had no official ID or security badge. He only said who he was after being confronted, when nobody is listening. In the end, this is going to backlash against Democrats. So far the tackling is the media focus. Eventually, the aggressive disruption of a cabinet member's prepared remarks will be a focus too. Media quickly forgets the president was nearly killed twice. Secret Service has every reason to be aggressive.

Sen. Padilla (D-CA) crashes DHS Sec. Noem's press conference | Dems are coming to Padilla's defense with a sense of outrage, but you can't rush the podium at a WH official's press conference no matter who you are. One is not above the law because he or she is a Senator. If you are going to take a confrontational approach to a member of the president's cabinet, you can expect to get manhandled. Rand Paul salty over WH dis-invite | Rand Paul's opposition to the budget shows he has no clue the danger the Democratic party poses. He's arguing for constitutional rights that are not under threat now, but will mean nothing when Democrats achieve permanent majority status backed by an army of voters built from illegal immigrants made legal to vote. His libertarianism makes him soft on illegal immigration but hard on the debt. He's naive and does not realize this is a nation at war over illegal immigration. What good will his protests be to the future socialist government these illegals will elect? He's on the wrong side. Cry more.

A decades-in-the-making immigration war | Some in the legacy media have not yet grasped that a majority strongly dislikes ALL illegal immigration. NY Times opinion page needs to look up the meaning of autocracy | Calling Trump an autocrat demonstrates the lazy, boring bias that the Times opinion page can often fall into. Trump is beleaguered by dozens of district court decisions. He has complained, but he has accepted the rulings and is fighting it out in court. He is doing largely what he ran on. Because the TImes hates Trump's platform and back a platform America has rejected, they publish absurd charges that he's ruling like a king.
