AP misleads about Texas flood weather forecast | In the linked report, note that the AP claims evacuations took place in the absence of weather reports of impending flash flooding. The National Weather Service offered a timeline of the warnings given, coming as early the afternoon on July 3rd, almost twelve hours before the flooding arrived. In a bid to cast Trump in a bad light, media organizations have rushed to blame a lack of warnings by the National Weather Service, ostensibly a consequence of DOGE cuts to the NWS. Unfortunately the facts do not agree with their reporting. The warnings were given. You can't blame Trump or the NWS for local weather forecasters' failures.

NPR's own timeline shows warnings came in plenty of time | NWS warned of possible flooding at 3:35PM, July 3rd. Texas Division of Emergency Management warned of possible flooding at 9:47AM July 3rd, and Lt. Gov. Patrick said it was up to local counties and mayors to evacuate at that point.

Rosie blames Trump for Texas flood victims | As demonstrated in the previous post, the media is setting Trump up for blame, but the facts simply don't square with the reporting. This is the worst kind of reporting, blaming a president for the deaths of children when everything that could have been done, was done. The legacy media is unscrupulous in its political mission to destroy Trump.

Let's be honest, most able-bodied people without kids who got Medicaid without working were probably already voting Democrat. These cuts only matter if everyone else's costs go up.

Dems already weaponizing Trump's megabill | Like Trump has done so often, he may have again set the Democrats up for failure. Attacking the Medicaid 'cuts' amounts to Democrats saying that making able-bodied adults with no children work 20 hours a week to receive benefits is too much to ask. Democrats are saying that those without disabilities or children should be allowed to stay home all day for no reason and still get benefits. When Americans understand that Democrats are calling this a cut, it may very well backlash on the party. Bill Clinton had similar policies and the people backed them. Dems have ridden legacy media bias to easy victory on entitlement reductions in the past, but X, other fair media and Trump's ability to get his message out very well may defeat the media at this old fear-mongering game.

Now ABC and CBS will dish out well over $30 million for his presidential library, perhaps the most lasting part of Trump's legacy. If Trump had written a script for how legacy media would have to pay for what they have done to him, he very well might have written it this way.

Cuomo's ridiculous refusal to drop out will usher in a socialist to the mayor's office. Of course Mamdani's high profile will hurt Democrats nationwide as the American people see what the core of the party really believes in featured in headlines rather than carefully hidden by their operatives. So perhaps we should be grateful that another Democrat will so belligerently attempt to hold onto power that America has no choice but to see the truth.

Dems understand this problem and hope that a wave of old Dems will start retiring . . .
