AP'S BRAZEN TRUMP BIAS AT WORK

How AP Trump bias works: In an nutshell, the AP employs an unmistakable double standard in analyzing Trump's bias and it's own partisan bent. While they effectively call out Trump's biased statements in this speech, they ignore wholesale their monumental blind spot on all matters relating to Biden administration prosecutions of Trump. The AP has a duty to call out its own bias.

AP writes a scathing review of Trump's DOJ speech with some valid points. The organization has ignored completely, however, the deeply corrupt nature of Smith bringing a politically charged prosecution of the likely next presidential opponent in a 90% Democratic jurisdiction (DC) before a politically motivated Trump biased judge. One cannot fairly assess Trump's speech without also analyzing the people and events about which he speaks. The AP simply fails to prioritize fairness when it comes to Trump.

AP has never mentioned the explicitly political nature of the Manhattan DA's prosecution of Trump, treating it like any normal criminal prosecution. Some Democratic journalists, lawyers and politicians, like Fareed Zakaria, Julian Epsteinand Sen. John Fetterman, have acknowledged that this was a political prosecution built on weak facts and a novel legal theory, or in other words, a 'bullshit' case.

The AP, if it had any objective scruples, would have acknowledged the political nature of this so called 'criminal' prosecution. They are just as biased as Trump, whom they call out. They ignore their own bias. They are not first and foremost a journalistic operation, but a political advocacy organization first, and with great power. Trump is right to grant them less access in the White House press pool.
