The dangers are mostly unknown because of the rapid pace of change, but we can't afford to fall behind China, a true threat to global freedom and peace. So we allow great forces to combine to keep up. The risks to freedom are enormous.

Dems want judges to run own security, WH says no need | George Washington signed the Judiciary Act of 1789 that created the US Marshals Service, putting the president in charge in line with US Const. Giving judges power over this service crosses the separation of powers line. Judges do not have executive authority, nor should they. For example, the Supreme Court does not govern the Supreme Court police, nor should it.
