ABC pulls Jimmy Kimmel indefinitely over Charlie Kirk comments | A 200-station affiliate owner Nexstar initially announced the preemption of Kimmel's show over the comments. ABC followed up. Kimmel said the shooter is MAGA and that the MAGA gang was nevertheless trying to score political points over it. There is no evidence he was MAGA, only that his father is MAGA. He is in a transgender relationship. He wrote that he was motivated by Kirk's hate to his transitioning boyfriend. His mother has said he has become more and more pro-gay and pro-transgender. His family has characterized him as becoming more political and more left wing in recent years. Last, if he was MAGA, why would he kill Charlie Kirk?

No one would choose this path, but millions will be introduced to Charlie's message because of his death, and it was a message of true freedom. Rather than let his voice die, we should magnify it greater than it ever was. Now, however, the main job is to identify why this happened.
Children are being desensitized to death | I agree that it's too easy to stumble upon horrifying and graphic images and videos online. But the cost of free speech is at least some level of desensitization. If the alternative is a big media filter, no thanks. They can't be trusted. Parents must police what apps their kids have access to and warn them not to blindly open links via text, etc. They should be taught this skill anyway at a young age.

The Federal funds rate has remained high for six years now, nearing a historic record seven-year stretch in not cutting the rate. The housing economy is desperate for cash. The Fed's rate tool is not always effective, but now is not one of those times because the prolonged high rate has created a funding desert. Americans are dying of thirst for affordable loans to buy homes. A rate cut is likely to pour rocket fuel into home buying which will spill over into job creation.
