GOOGLE PUSHES MOST POLITICAL TRAFFIC TO NYT, WaPo & CNN | |||||||||
It is undeniable, the left has a huge advantage in getting its version of the facts out because of Google. When people want news they go to Google. When they go to Google, they most likely get CNN, the New York Times or the Washington Post. See below. Americans are much more likely to see a left-leaning presentation of the facts on the Internet. The question arises, to what extent does the public accept this version of the facts? The answer to this question will comfort conservatives. Americans understand that the news media is biased. Eighty-six percent of Americans say that news coverage is biased. The majority of the fourteen percent who do not view it that way are probably left-leaning themselves and will always vote that way, or don't pay attention and don't vote. So it's likely that Google bias is not as influential as many Americans fear. But as for the ability to get their version of the facts out, the left dominates. Americans, however, are skilled at ferreting out the bias. If that were not true conservatives would not have won an election since the era of William Randolph Hearst, a conservative media magnate. |
